Step 1
Decide which day you are taking your tour. If you are vacationing in Prague in the summertime, there are daily tours called "The Real Tour of Prague" offered by Paul's Tours Monday through Saturday from June to August. You do not need to make a reservation for these tours. If you are traveling another time of year, visit Paul's Tours website for a tour schedule.
-
Step 2
Meet outside Muzeum Metro station on the day of your tour. This is the central location where the walking tour of Prague begins at 12:30 p.m. The group meets up at the top of Wenceslas Square in front of the horse statue.
-
Step 3
Purchase your tickets from the guide holding up "The Real Tour of Prague" sign. If you happen to be staying at the Hostel Clown and Bard or The Travellers' Hostel, you can also purchase tickets there at the front desk.
-
Step 4
Bring your camera and take plenty of pictures as you tour the Castel Complex, the St. Vitus Cathedral, the Jewish Quarter and the Old Town Square. The guides are very knowledgeable about the history of Prague. They discuss with tourists 1000 years of Prague history beginning with the first Slavic Dynasty.
-
Step 5
Break for lunch at a traditional Czech pub. The walking tour is four hours long, which can be tiring. Therefore the group breaks for a bite to eat. Bring extra money for the cost of your lunch and drinks, as this is not included in the price of the tour.
-
Step 6
Ask plenty of questions of your guide along the way. The guides from Paul's Tours are more than happy to answer questions about any of the sites along your tour. You will also see Charles Bridge, the Astronomical Clock and other interesting landmarks.
