A degree in zoology combines study in chemistry, physiology, biochemistry and biological sciences. It can be a springboard to medical, dentistry or veterinary school, but it can also lead to some interesting careers on its own. Follow these steps if you would like to get a zoology internship.

    Major in zoology. Join clubs, professional associations and organizations related to your field of study.

    Identify the type of internship you would enjoy. Of course, internships at zoos come to mind right away, but there are also many other groups who look for interns from zoology.

    Decide whether you'd like to stay in the United States or travel abroad for your internship. Intern Abroad is a website that features internships for zoology and wildlife science major in many exotic places.

  4. Step 4

    Network with people on campus and at professional meetings. Most professional organizations offer student rates for membership, and they welcome questions from students at their meetings.
