Everyone wants NFL playoff tickets. You've got them, and you can't (or don't want to) use them. This is a perfect example of how you can benefit from the law of supply and demand. Follow these steps to learn how you can score by selling your extra or unwanted NFL playoff tickets.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Offer them to family members and friends first, especially if they're diehard fans. It's up to you whether you give the tickets away or sell them, but you might want to give a substantial discount in the latter case.

  2. Step 2

Advertise your tickets for sale in your local newspaper or on a website like Craigslist or eBay.

  3. Step 3

Ask your local sports bar or sporting goods store to post a flyer advertising your tickets for sale.

  4. Step 4

Sell your NFL playoff tickets to a ticket broker. In order to do this, you must have the tickets in your possession and be able to ship them to the broker within 24 hours. Brokers buy tickets at wholesale prices and sell them for a profit, so you can expect to get only 50 to 75 percent of the retail asking price of your tickets from a broker. The broker option should be your last resort, if for some reason you can't unload your tickets any other way, or you're willing to gamble that scarcity will jack up the price of the tickets.

  5. Step 5

Sell the tickets at the venue on game day. This practice, usually known as scalping, is illegal in some states, and frowned upon by the NFL, but if you're stuck with tickets you can't use because of a last-minute emergency, this may be your only option.
