Fast food helps busy people eat breakfast, lunch or dinner on a regular basis. Unfortunately, the food choices aren't always the best. By choosing low calorie foods and diet drinks or water, eating healthy at a fast food restaurant is possible. Hardee's is known for their Thickburgers, but you can still enjoy a low calorie breakfast, lunch or dinner at Hardee's.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Avoid breakfast sandwiches with lots of meat, cheese and egg. These foods are high in calories and fat. Don't be fooled by the low carb breakfast choice. This choice is low in carbs but high in calories and fat. The cinnamon raisin biscuit is a better choice and is lower in both calories and fat than the low carb option. Add a low calorie, healthy drink such as milk or orange juice.

  2. Step 2

Order a regular hamburger for lunch. Hardee's offers a low carb burger, but it has more calories and more grams of fat than the regular burger. You can take the bun off the regular burger to reduce calories and carbs. Complete your healthy meal with a diet soda or water.

  3. Step 3

Enjoy dinner at Hardee's with their Southwestern Chicken Salad. Order this meal with charbroiled chicken and no tortilla bowl. Eat your salad with a diet soda, water or tea.

  4. Step 4

Satisfy the kids with a chicken strips kids meal. This meal comes with a small fries and drink. Order the natural fries rather than curly because they have less fat and calories. Substitute milk for soda and don't add dipping sauce for the chicken. These choices help your kids eat a healthier meal.

  5. Step 5

Indulge in dessert at Hardee's with an apple turnover or blueberry biscuit. These sweet treats offer the least calories and fat. Avoid adding a milkshake, which is higher in calories than either of the other desserts, and eat your treat with milk.
