Tracking down a song from a TV show can be accomplished with a few strokes of the keyboard. Remember that song from Friends? The one that you couldn't get out of your head because they played it on the radio all the time? Well, if you were in a cave during that year and want to find that song, just follow these steps and you will be clapping along with The Rembrandts in no time.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Utilize a search engine. Type in "theme song" and whatever TV show theme song you are looking for and it will pop up. Many of the sites that come up will also have the video accompanying it. For instance, typing in "Theme Song Perfect Strangers" will bring up a YouTube video of the theme song and the opening credits to Perfect Strangers.
Step2
Type in the first few lines from the song if you know the song but not where it came from. Using the example from "Perfect Strangers," type in, "Standing tall from the wings of my dreams." You will find many links which will verify that the song is in fact the theme song from "Perfect Strangers."
Step3
Enter "Theme Song TV shows" if your goal is to track down as many TV theme songs as possible. There are many websites out there which specialize in TV Theme songs. You will find websites devoted to the classic TV shows such as Green Acres, Beverly Hillbillies, and the Andy Griffith show, and also websites which deal exclusively in 80's TV show theme songs. You may even find TV shows you had forgotten you remembered.
Step4
Download these TV show theme songs if you are serious about always remembering your favorite TV shows. Downloading these tunes will ensure that never again will you have to ask yourself, "What was that song from that show?" Typing in "Download TV Show themes" will pull up a multitude of downloadable options. Stick with the recognizable brand names, such as iTunes so you won't accidentally download a virus along with "Happy Days."

on 8/5/2008 One of my favorite sites for listening to TV theme songs is www.televisiontunes.com. It has a comprehensive collection of over 7,000 TV songs, from olden days to modern times. Better still, you can listen to them in MP3 format right on the site.
