Plan a relaxed trip to Sedona. Located just south of Flagstaff in the heart of Arizona's red rock country, Sedona is home to a vibrant artists' colony, with plentiful art galleries, jewelry shops and small restaurants. Sedona boasts a myriad of romantic resorts and bed and breakfasts, including the Auberge de Sedona and the Enchantment. Be sure to at least have dinner at their French country restaurant the Auberge, with a view of the creek and gardens. It's an award-winner.

Enjoy a luxury weekend in Scottsdale. Scottsdale, just outside of Phoenix, hosts over a dozen upscale resorts, most with fantasy swimming pools, gourmet restaurants, spas and lots of pampering. Explore the Grand Canyon. In the northwestern part of the state, about an hour's drive from Flagstaff, is the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Here you can enjoy the majesty of one of America's wonders and stay at the historic El Tovar, at the edge of the Canyon. During the day, you can hike the over 1000 miles of trails, explore the museums or take a mule ride down to Plateau Point, half way down the Canyon.
