The lemon detox diet has become very popular as a way of losing weight and cleaning toxins from the body. Achieving and maintaining good health goes far beyond a 7- or 10-day fast. Tips & Warnings
If you've never fasted before, it's better to work up to 7 days slowly. Try fasting for one day, then a week or two later try fasting for two days. Continue the process until you are able to fast for the full 7 to 10 days.
While detoxing, it's best to rest as much as possible. The process of detoxing takes all old toxins from deep within your body and pulls them out to be discarded. While these toxins are leaving your system, you may experience tiredness, skin outbreaks and headaches.
One fast does not cleanse the entire body. Cells are constantly dying and regenerating constantly. If you have been guilty of less than healthy food for most of your life, it can take time for all of your cells to regenerate using the new and improved nutritional source. Be patient. Good health doesn't happen overnight.
