1
Freeze the portions of the bread that you will not eat within a few days immediately. Wrap the bread in plastic tightly so that it remains moist, and use another bag (preferably one with a zipper closure) around the plastic wrapped portion and place in freezer.
-
2
Allow bread that is freshly baked to cool completely before storing. When warm bread is sealed it can create moisture that causes the bread to mold early.

3
Place the bread in an airtight container. A plastic bag works well but a bread box is best. A container with a lid also works well.
-
4
Store the bread to be eaten over the next few days in a cool, dry place. Make sure it is at room temperature.
-
5
Wrap the unused portions tightly again every time you pull some bread out. You must continue to re-wrap the remaining bread so it continues to keep the crust on those pieces soft.
