If you need to pamper yourself a bit and decide that a relaxing facial is the way to do it, then try an apricot facial mask. It soothes your skin and smells wonderful. Just find your skin type and make one of the recipes for a wonderful treat.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Milk
  • Honey
  • Fuller's earth clay
  • Apricot essential oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Dried apricots
  • Powdered skim milk
  • Fresh apricots
  • Orange juice
  • Molasses
  • Boiled carrots
  • Yogurt
  1. Step 1

Decide whether you have normal skin, combination skin, oily skin or dry skin.

  2. Step 2

Use 1 cup milk, 1 tsp. honey, 1/2 cup fuller's earth and 1 tsp. of apricot essential oil for normal skin. Mix the ingredients thoroughly and apply to your face, avoiding delicate areas. Wait 15 minutes and rinse it off with cold water.

  3. Step 3

Wipe your oily areas in the T zone with lemon juice and water before applying your facial, if you have combination skin. For your combination skin, soften 1 cup dried apricots by soaking then in water. Put the apricots into a blender and add 2 tbsp. powdered milk. Put the mixture on your face and allow it to set for about 15 to 20 minutes while you relax. Rinse with cool water.

  4. Step 4

Please your dry skin with a facial designed to moisturize. Put the following ingredients in a blender: 2/3 cup fresh apricot flesh, 1/3 cup orange juice, 1 tsp. molasses and 1 tsp. honey. Put it on your face and relax for 20 minutes. Rinse it with cool water.

  5. Step 5

Give your oily face a treat. Mash or blend together two large cooled boiled carrots and the flesh of one fresh apricot. To this, add 3 tbsp. honey and 2 tbsp. yogurt. Apply the mixture to your face and wait for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing with tepid water. Dab your face with a cotton ball soaked in witch hazel to complete the facial.
