Like swimming and diving, the Big 12 tennis championships are held at the same venue at the same time for both men and women. This means that a tennis fan can see the very best of Big 12 tennis as it winds down its conference competition and heads towards the NCAA national championships. For anyone interested in collegiate tennis, this is a wonderful way to spend three days.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Review the history, standings and schedules of the intercollegiate matches that lead up to the championship. This is easily accomplished at the official website of Big 12 tennis.
Step2
Check to see where the championships will be held at the Big 12 tennis website. The venue changes from year to year. The 2008 site of the championships is the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center at Texas A&M. This will also be the site of the 2009 NCAA national championships.
Step3
Buy tickets through the Big 12 when they are available. To be sure to get tickets, sign up with a commercial site that will notify you of ticket availability.
Step4
Check on accommodations for the city hosting the championships by using that city's visitor's bureau. Check with commercial ticket companies to see if package rates are available.
Step5
Contact the alumni organization of a specific Big 12 university if you have ties to that university. Sometimes alumni groups will be arranging group trips to the championships.
