Verizon Wireless has taken cell phones into the future with the ability to check emails from your phone, conduct business from anywhere in the world and now, sending and receiving videomail messages. With a video messaging-capable phone, you can send up to a 15-second video message to another Verizon wireless user or email address. Video messaging can turn a simple phone call into a special moment.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

To get Verizon videomail, you'll first need to register your Verizon account on the verizonwireless.com website. After you've registered your account, you can sign up for video messaging for a monthly fee.

  2. Step 2

Once you have video messaging capability on your phone, you can receive videomail. To get video messaging, you need to make sure you have a picture/video messaging phone and have access to the video messaging service. However, users who have text messaging can receive video messaging, but you'll be directed to a link to view the video message online.

  3. Step 3

Video messaging phones are also picture messaging phones. So, users also can take photos and send and receive picture messages. You must acquire a picture/video messaging email address to receive video messages. Your video messaging email is usually your mobilenumber@vzwpix.com.

  4. Step 4

The message will alert on your phone as a text message. Your picture/video messaging phone is configured to automatically download and display new messages. You can set up your phone to be notified when a new video message is received (prompt mode).

  5. Step 5

In "prompt mode," you'll receive a non-billable notification, giving the option to open the message, reject the message or watch it later. On the pay-as-you-go plan, each video message is 25 cents per message. You can receive video messages from other cell phone carriers.
