With today's advanced technology, we can work from home, on vacation, in our cars or walking on the treadmill. Cell phones now enable us to send and receive emails and sync our phones with our business or personal email accounts. With Verizon's new Mobile Web 2.0, users can set up their AOL, Yahoo!, AIM, Windows Live Mail or Verizon.net email accounts, and check their emails from anywhere in the world.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

To set up your Verizon email, you must first register your account online at verizonwireless.com. After your account has been successfully registered, you can set up a username and password for email. Then you can use your phone to access your account, view Verizon email, check available balances, view transaction details, pay bills and get the latest news, sports and weather.

  2. Step 2

To access email from your phone, on your cell phone, select "Get It Now." Using the down arrow key, choose "Tools on the Go." Then select "Get New App," and click the "OK" button.

  3. Step 3

A catalog screen will open where you'll select the Email option. Another screen will pop up for Voice Genesis Vemail 2.0. (Depending on the type and model phone, the options may vary.)

  4. Step 4

When you select the Vemail option, you can either subscribe for this option for a monthly fee, or it will access it immediately, if you're already set up with Vemail. You can now set up your Yahoo!, AOL, Hotmail, Verizon, POP or IMAP email.

  5. Step 5

Once you've established your email account, you can speak or type replies, or new messages. With Mobile email, you're able to send and receive emails quickly and easily, regardless of where you are.

  6. Step 6

To access your Verizon email, select the menu key to open the menu. Use the navigation key to find messaging. You'll then be sent to the Verizon Wireless Services page, where you can choose to access your account or Mobile Web 2.0. If you're already subscribed for this service, you'll be automatically directed to the Mobile Web page, where you can access your Verizon email, news, sports, weather, travel and more.
