How to Send SBC Global Email Efax

Most ISPs such as SBC Global offer efax with a subscription to their service for an additional monthly service fee. It makes it easier to have an efax service now that most documents are electronic. You can send a resume, medical forms and insurance documents without having to print them out and locate a fax machine. Follow these steps to learn how to send an SBC Global email efax.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Sign up for the efax service with SBC Global and you will receive a fax number. It may be included in your service already if you signed up for a package. There is a nominal monthly fee.

  2. Step 2

    Scan a hard copy of the document you want to fax. Save it as a PDF, JPEG, TIF or BMP. If you already have the document in a digital format with one of these file extensions then you are set.

  3. Step 3

    Log in to your SBC Global email account. Click "New" to make a new message.

  4. Step 4

    Enter the fax number in the email address section of the Compose Message window. Start the fax number with 1 and the area code. Follow the fax number with "@efaxsend.com." For example: 1123456789@efaxsend.com.

  5. Step 5

    Attach the file to your email. Click "Send." The recipient will receive a hard copy of the file on their fax machine immediately.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avoid sending personal information such as credit card and social security numbers through efax.
