How to Use SBC Global Email

SBC Global has merged with Yahoo! to create AT&T Yahoo!. AT&T Yahoo! provides Internet service, email and spyware. SBC Global users are able to log into Yahoo! mail with their SBC account, play games, set up a "My Yahoo!" page and have all of the benefits of having Yahoo! as well as SBC Global.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Set up your email accounts in your POP email program according to the specifications given by SBC. Once your email accounts are set up, merge one Yahoo! account with the SBC account to receive both emails in your POP software. To merge the two emails, go to the SBC Yahoo! website and choose "Merge Emails."

  2. Step 2

    Press "Send and Receive" to view emails. The emails are automatically placed in your inbox.

  3. Step 3

    Choose the "Organize" or "Folders" feature to create and move messages from the inbox to a specific folder.

  4. Step 4

    Choose the "Options" tab to set email preferences such as reminder times, tasks options, when to send and receive, how to edit outgoing mail, security and instant messaging.

  5. Step 5

    Compose new email by clicking "Compose" or "New." Add backgrounds, signatures or add an attachment to these emails. To add an attachment, click the "Insert" tab. Choose "File Attachment." Locate the attachment and click "Open." To add a background to your mail, click "Format." Pick the "Background" option and choose from the list. Add a signature through the Tools menu. Click "Options" and then choose a signature to add or edit a signature to your specifications.

  6. Step 6

    Check your email on a different computer. Go to Yahoo.com. Log in with your SBC Global email address and password to view your email. From Yahoo! you are able to send, receive, view and delete your emails. Emails that appear on the Internet are sent to your POP email the next time your email program is opened.
