Things You'll Need:
- Computer
- Internet access
- Microsoft Windows 98 or higher
- Macintosh OS X (v10.1 or higher)
- Macintosh OS X (v10.1 or higher)
- Eudora
-
Step 1
Proofread the email address if mail you sent is returned as "Mail Delivery Failed." Misspelled words and typographical errors are the common reasons email is undeliverable.
-
Step 2
Verify that the email account to which you are sending is still active. If an account is closed, you'll receive an email that says "User Unknown."
-
Step 3
Add the Eudora website address (see Resources below) to your computer's security software's list of accepted or "permitted" sites if you receive the error message, "Due to a problem with your browser, this message could not be sent." Refer to the security software's documentation to make this change. Another option is to disable the software and try sending the Eudora email again.
-
Step 4
Check the size of the Eudora email attachment if you are experiencing difficulty receiving mail. Large attachments bog down email programs and cause mail to be undeliverable. Detailed instructions on how to rectify this problem can be found at its official website. Try decreasing the size of the buffer. Go to "Tools," "Options," "Advanced Network."
-
Step 5
Be sure your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is working properly if you are able to receive Eudora email but are unable to send.
-
Step 6
Make sure you are using the latest version of Eudora software, Outlook, Outlook Express or Netscape.
