How to Check Earthlink Email

Checking your email is as easy as clicking your mouse. Thanks to Web Mail, you don't have to be worry about missing important messages because you're not at home. Now you can check your EarthLink email from any computer with Internet access by following these simple guidelines.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet access
  • Microsoft Windows 98 or higher
  • Macintosh OS X (v10.1 or higher)
  • Latest version of Outlook Express or Netscape
  • Ethernet connection
  • Earthlink service
  • Earthlink Total Access
  1. Step 1

    Install EarthLink Dial-Up, High Speed, DSL or Wi-Fi on your computer once you have verified that your computer meets the installation requirements (see the related eHow article titled "How to Install EarthLink").

  2. Step 2

    Establish your Internet connection by using EarthLink's Total Access software available at EarthLink's official website. Follow the onscreen prompts to install the program.

  3. Step 3

    Download and install the free EarthLink Mailbox so you can open an EarthLink email account. If you have EarthLink's Total Access installed on your computer go to the Task Panel and click on the "Email" menu. Follow the instructions.

  4. Step 4

    Log on to your EarthLink email account with your user name and password. If you don't already have an EarthLink email account, follow the screen prompts to create one (see the related eHow article titled "How to Open an EarthLink Email Account").

  5. Step 5

    Click on the "Check Mail" button to display your recently received email.

  6. Step 6

    Check your EarthLink email from another computer by clicking on "Web Mail" at the top of EarthLink's homepage. Sign in with your email address and password to access your email account. Click on "Inbox" to check your EarthLink email.

  7. Step 7

    Log out of your account after you've finished checking your EarthLink email.
