1
Buy a book. There are numerous study guides for the PSAT at most major book stores that cost about $15 to $20. Having a book in hand makes it easy to refer to different sections as needed. The study guide is also available on CD Rom.
-
2
Go online. The Petersen's College Planner, for example, allows you to take a shortened prep test online that is timed to give you a feel for what the real experience may be like. You can also take the PSAT prep course itself online. Such programs give you access to the test and information for 90 days, and includes an online instructor who can answer questions.

Take a class. An PSAT class is still one of the most popular choices for many students. Check with your high school guidance counselor for class locations, or go online to find one in your area.

4
Get a tutor. One-on-one is still the best way to learn for some people. SAT prep websites such as Princeton Review and Kaplan also provide links to tutors in your area who give personal or small group instruction.
