How to Buy a Gown for an Encore Wedding

Your encore wedding should be no less special than your first wedding. Take the time and find the dress that will make you shine. After all, you are the bride! Do not sacrifice your dress because this is an encore wedding.

1. Decide on a budget for your encore wedding dress.

2. Look through bridal magazines or online to get an idea of the dresses that are out there. Pick out some favorites.

3. Go out and try on some of the dresses that you have marked as favorites.

4. Be open to suggestions from friends, family and helpful salespeople. This does not mean you have to get the dress they want you to have, you just need to be open. You might find something you really like that way.

5. Do not be overly critical of yourself, choose the dress you like, look good in and that fits your budget no matter what.

6. Wear the color you want! If white is your color of choice then go for it.

7. Keep in mind that your dress should reflect the style of the wedding you are having. For example, if you are having a backyard barbecue wedding, than a dress with a cathedral length train is probably not going to cut it.

8. Be true to yourself. You know you best and therefore know what you will feel comfortable in.
