Beautifying your home can be made simple by selecting some landscape plants. Whether your home is in a sunny area or shady area, you can select landscape plants to create a warm and inviting entrance to your house. Landscape plants can be purchased at your local nursery or home improvement store.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Decide on the area of your yard that you want to landscape with some new plants. Measure out the perimeter of the section to ensure that you will purchase enough plants for that particular area.
Step2
Note when that particular area gets full sun or full shade. By logging in a notebook the times of the day when the area does receive sun, you will know better what kind of landscape plants to select for your yard.
Step3
Take some photographs of the area for which you want to select landscape plants. This way the salespeople at the nursery or home improvement store can advise you what kind of plants should be selected for your yard.
Step4
Bring your photograph to your local nursery or home improvement store; the person specializing in landscape plants can then help you make some wise decisions. They will also help you know which plants to choose, depending on how large they may grow within your selected area.
Step5
Discuss with the nursery worker if you are interested in annual or perennial plants to landscape your yard. While it may be nice to purchase some perennials so that you do not to replace the landscaping plants each year, some people like the tradition of replanting.
Step6
Select the landscape plants that you are interested in and bring them home to plant.
