How to Use Green Tea to Treat Blackheads
Blackheads are the manifestation of plugged hair follicles, generally caused by a buildup of dead skin cells and a special oil called sebum. They commonly occur on the face, but may appear on other parts of the body. These follicles have wider than normal openings that allow air to reach the built up materials. Air reacts with the clogged materials and results in the oxidation of melanin--the source of the blackhead's dark color. Green tea is rich in antioxidants and has a lengthy history of medicinal use. To treat blackheads, green tea may be used internally and externally. Does this Spark an idea?
