How to Play Sonic Games Online

Open up your web browser and check to see whether you have access to the latest version of plugins like flash. Go to the browser's website and see if there are any important graphical updates that you need to install.

Search for the Sonic games you'd like to play online. There are a variety of gaming sites that allow to to play different Sonic games (as well as many other old games) for a monthly subscription fee, but with a little searching you can also find free flash games.

Play many Sonic games, including user-created games, at Sonicgames.info (see Resources below). Close other graphic-intensive windows in order to improve performance of the more detailed games. Read the "how to play" section of each game, because the controls are not standardized.

Use a different web browser if you're having trouble playing certain Sonic games online. It's often faster to copy and paste the link for a game into a different program than it is to troubleshoot your flash settings.

Stay in the same room as someone else with a DS if only one of you has a copy of the game. Select the "Download Play" option with the DS that is running Sonic and then choose "DS Download Play" on the second DS to begin to play online. You may have to wait a few moments for the game to download.

Make a game room on a wifi network if both players own a copy of Sonic Rush Adventure. Start the game once all players are in the room, choose your multi-player settings and then play.

Bring your DS and Sonic Rush Adventure to a wifi hotspot to play with other people around the world. You can choose to play with a random person or pick a buddy from your Friends List. Connect your DS to the Internet with an external USB to Ethernet cord if you don't have wifi near you.

Tips & Warnings
There are a few Sonic Rush Adventure multiplayer game types, such as "Grab the Rings," that are only available if you are connected to a wifi network.
Some online game site and user-created Sonic adventures may contain ads, language or other material that isn't suitable for children.
