How to Use Game Boy Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam Cheats

Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam is the latest game in the popular skateboard franchise. The Game Boy edition has its own unique cheats and secrets to enhance the game play experience. Unlike cheats that directly alter game play, the cheats for Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam are used to unlock different boards, tricks and locations around the world.

    Unlock New Skateboard Tricks for Your Game Boy

  1. Step 1

    Play the San Francisco level. Complete the third trick course to unlock the 360 Shove It.

  2. Step 2

    Unlock the Airwalk Special by beating the third trick course located in the Steps of Morocco.

  3. Step 3

    Beat the trick courses at the Castle of Edinburgh to unlock the Benihana trick.

  4. Step 4

    Head down to Rio de Janeiro. After completing the third trick course, you'll unlock the Japan Air trick.

  5. Step 5

    Complete Vail Mountain's three trick courses to learn how to unlock the Pop Shove It BS trick.

  6. Step 6

    Complete the third trick course while in the Lights of Hong Kong region and you'll unlock the FS 360 Shove It.

  7. Step 7

    Take the Tour of Rome. While you're there, complete the three trick courses and you'll unlock the 360 Flip Street move.

  8. Step 8

    Visit the Ruins of Machu Picchu level and beat the third trick course to unlock the Fingerlip.

  9. Unlock New Game Locations

  10. Step 1

    Unlock the Steps of Morocco and Castle of Edinburgh levels by finishing in the top three while playing the San Francisco championship.

  11. Step 2

    Place in the top three during the Steps of Morocco championship and you'll unlock Rio de Janerio's playable level.

  12. Step 3

    Unlock the Tour of Rome and Vail Mountain stages by placing in the top three in the championship contest at the Castle of Edinburgh.

  13. Step 4

    Play the Lights of Hong Kong stage only after finishing in the top three at the Rio de Janeiro championship.

  14. Step 5

    Place in the top three at the Tour of Rome championship and you'll unlock the Montmartre level.

  15. Step 6

    Earn access to the Ruins of Machu Picchu stage by finishing in the top three at Vail Mountain's championship.

  16. Step 7

    Unlock Hawaii by placing in the top three on all playable levels.

  17. Unlock Cool New Boards

  18. Step 1

    Finish all the training courses within the time limits and you'll be able to use Tony Hawk's Short Board.

  19. Step 2

    Unlock Joe's Short Board by placing first in the San Francisco championship contest.

  20. Step 3

    Get Asma's Long Board by winning the championship contest at the Steps of Morocco level.

  21. Step 4

    Place first at the Castle of Edinburgh championship to use Brogan's Short Board.

  22. Step 5

    Finish first at the Tour of Rome championship to unlock Corrina's Short Board.

  23. Step 6

    Unlock Hugh's Mountain Board after you win first place in the Vail Mountain championship.

  24. Step 7

    Skate with Lian Zi's Long Board after you finish first in the Lights of Hong Kong championship contest.

  25. Step 8

    Unlock Mirim's Mountain Board by placing first in the Ruins of Machu Picchu championship.

  26. Step 9

    Finish first at the Montmartre championship and you'll be allowed to use Marie's Short Board.

  27. Step 10

    Finish in first place at Hawaii's championship contest to unlock Tony Hawk's Final Board.

Tips & Warnings
  • While completing missions and scoring points for tricks is still a part of the fun, Game Boy Downhill Jam departs from other games in the Tony Hawk's series by emphasizing speed. Develop your skills by facing off with other skateboarders in competitive races.
