How to Use Furniture in Bondage

I Did This Rate: (5 Ratings)

Anyone who is into bondage dreams of having a fully equipped dungeon. Once you pass the beginner stage of bondage play, you will probably want to invest in some bondage furniture. There are many ways to incorporate furniture into your scenes, from the simplest spreader bar to the most elaborate dungeon crosses and cages.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Work with what you have. Building a dungeon takes time and expense. Begin by modifying what you already have, such as adding restraints to your headboard or installing eyehooks to a joist in your ceiling, which you can put chains and locks through.
Step2
Use household furniture you already own. Look around your home for things to use such as chairs to tie someone to or desks to place hooks in. To dominate your partner in lots of ways, you could have him lie on a table and bind his wrists and ankles to the table legs.
Step3
Start small. Some less expensive furniture to use in bondage includes a kneeler and a low stool.
Step4
Do it yourself. You can build simple furniture without a lot of skill. Use your imagination and put padding on a sawhorse, for example, or turn a sofa pillow and some scrap lumber into a kneeler.
Step5
Use an X frame or a St. Andrews Cross to bind your submissive's arms and legs while she is in a standing position. There are many variations on these designs, including the ones sold at BondageFurniture.com (see Resources below).
Step6
Put your submissive in a sex sling, suspended from a frame or the ceiling. Optionally, you can put his legs in the leg restraints that are often a part of sex slings.
Step7
Bend your partner over the top of a spanking bench for easy access to her spankable parts. With her buttocks facing upwards and out, you will have an easy time spanking her and she will have a difficult time struggling--especially if you restrain her wrists in wrist cuffs and attach her ankles to a spreader bar.

Tips & Warnings

  • As a beginner, use ropes, chains and cuffs to bind your partner. Quality dungeon furniture is an investment you will want to make gradually over time. Otherwise, you could end up with a room full of expensive furniture you never use and is difficult to disguise for household guests.
  • Any bondage furniture you use in your scenes should be sturdy and safe. Make sure the store or website you buy it from has a good reputation and that the construction of the items is sound.
  • Keep your furniture clean to avoid spreading germs. Porous materials like wood, unless finished, can be difficult to keep sanitary.
