How to Engage in Self Bondage

Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a partner that will tie them up for sexual gratification. Bondage enthusiasts sometimes engage in what is known as self bondage, the restraining of oneself for sexual pleasure. Whether you do it for the sensual feeling of being immobile or the orgasmic excitement of full restraint, practice self bondage with care.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Devise a means of escape before you engage in self bondage. One popular method is to put the key to your restraints on a short rope and freeze it in a shot glass filled with water. Place the ice block next to you during bondage and when it melts you will be able to escape.

  2. Step 2

    Begin with a simple method if you are new to self bondage. Do not attempt to engage in heavy restraint at first. Avoid gags and collars as a beginner and plan several escape routes until you get better at being Houdini.

  3. Step 3

    Ease into wrist and ankle restraining by using something strong yet flexible such as bondage tape. Unlike adhesive tape, bondage tape clings to itself but doesn't stick to your skin or hair. Unless you wrap it too tightly and cut off your circulation, you will find it easier to get out of than something like duct tape.

  4. Step 4

    Use shrink-wrap or bondage tape to mummify yourself. Find a sturdy pole, such as a beam in your basement, and move a mattress or cushion nearby so you don't get hurt if you fall over. Tape a utility knife to your leg as a means of escape. Then walk around the pole, wrapping yourself tightly in the shrink wrap.

  5. Step 5

    Pull a pair of spandex bike shorts over your head, with your head through one leg and your hands and arms through the other. It's a relatively safe way to bind yourself without a timer. This can also be combined with other techniques and equipment, such as hoods, handcuffs or wrist coils.

  6. Step 6

    Put your head all the way into one pantyhose leg if you're flexible. Leave the other leg dangling behind you. Stretch your arms back and put them through to the bottom of the other pantyhose leg. The result is a body glove and hood effect.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not engage in self bondage without an escape plan: key on a timer, a friend to bring you a key after a certain amount of time or a sharp knife or pair of scissors within reach to cut your ropes.
  • Self bondage is titillating but inherently dangerous. Know your risk of death. Prepare a will before you engage in self bondage.
