Many people fantasize about being abducted and forced to have sex with their attacker. Though your kidnapping is only pretend, the knots you are tied up in might be real. While bondage is frighteningly erotic, it can also be dangerous. Learn how to get out of bondage knots in case you ever need to, especially if you are engaging in self bondage.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Knife (optional)
  • Bandage scissors (optional)
  1. Step 1

Practice getting out of bondage knots by having a partner or friend tie you up. Thus, when you are tied up in "real life" you will already have learned how to untie knots.

  2. Step 2

Keep your wrists, legs, arms or ankles apart as much as you can while being tied up in bondage knots. This will give you wiggle room if you have to get out of the knots.

  3. Step 3

Leave some slack around your chest. Take a deep breath when you are getting tied up so that you can breathe easily. This will also help you get out of bondage knots more easily.

  4. Step 4

Use thick ropes when playing with bondage especially if you are binding yourself. Thicker rope is more difficult to work with and therefore you can't tie extremely tight knots. These are easier to untie than something very thin such as pantyhose or silk scarves.

  5. Step 5

Free your hands first. They will help you get out of the rest of the knots you are tied in.

  6. Step 6

Move the slack, if there is any. One of the keys to untying a knot is being able to face it. Use the slack to adjust your position, allowing greater access to the knot you need to untie.

  7. Step 7

Cut through ropes or bondage tape with a knife or bandage scissors. Essential for BDSM and bondage play, knives and scissors will get you out of knots quickly if an emergency should arise. Rather than fiddling with trying to untie yourself, just cut right through it.

  8. Step 8

Practice escaping from things besides knots. For example, you may want to use different materials and be tied up or gagged with duct tape or chains. Have a friend help you learn to wiggle your way out of these situations too.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avoid using handcuffs with a key if you are engaging in self bondage. They are too difficult to get out of and could prove to be dangerous instead of a fun challenge.
