1. Practice getting out of bondage knots by having a partner or friend tie you up. Thus, when you are tied up in "real life" you will already have learned how to untie knots.
2. Keep your wrists, legs, arms or ankles apart as much as you can while being tied up in bondage knots. This will give you wiggle room if you have to get out of the knots.
3. Leave some slack around your chest. Take a deep breath when you are getting tied up so that you can breathe easily. This will also help you get out of bondage knots more easily.
4. Use thick ropes when playing with bondage especially if you are binding yourself. Thicker rope is more difficult to work with and therefore you can't tie extremely tight knots. These are easier to untie than something very thin such as pantyhose or silk scarves.
5. Free your hands first. They will help you get out of the rest of the knots you are tied in.
