Prepare Your MySpace Page for a New Anime Layout

1. Access your MySpace account using your personal username and password.
2. Click on the "Edit Profile" link.
3. Locate the "About Me" text box.

4. Open a new window or tab in your Internet browser.
5. Use websites like freecodesource.com, pimp-my-profile.com or myspacebrand.com to find unique anime layouts from which to choose.
6. Browse through pre-designed anime layouts to find the one that suits your personality best. Try to avoid backgrounds that are too busy with images, as it can make reading the text of your MySpace page difficult.

Set Up Your Own Anime Layout on MySpace

7. Locate the "Code for Layout" or "Layout Code" on the chosen page. It is typically embedded in a text box and will consist of a long paragraph of HTML code.
8. Copy the web code of the anime layout you like in its entirety. It should begin and end in "<" ">" marks. If it doesn't, then chances are you haven't selected the entire code.
9. Return to your original MySpace window or tab in your Internet browser.
10. Paste your layout code in the "About Me" section and select "Save All Changes."
11. Enter the verification code (when required) and save all changes. Your profile is now changed to your new anime layout!

Tips & Warnings

• Add breaks of separation using the HTML code "
  " to denote a space between text and layout code.
• If you accidentally delete part of your code while trying to add text, pictures or videos to your "About Me" section, you will need to re-copy the layout in order to get your customized page to look the same again.
• If you find a website that has a bunch of anime layouts that you like, bookmark it so that you can come back every month or so and change up your site's look.
• Most free layouts will come with an advertising message attached in the HTML code. If you try to remove this message or alter it in any way, you risk invalidating the layout, so use caution.
