How to Draw Bleach Anime Characters
Bleach is a popular Japanese print and TV anime cartoon series that has been made into a musical, a series of video games and two feature films entitled "Bleach: Memories of Nobody" and "The Diamond Dust Rebellion." The story follows Ichigo Kurosaki, a 15-year old student who can see ghosts. Although there are other characters, Ichigo is by far the most popular Bleach anime character for fans to draw.

Draw a slanted pentagon shape for Ichigo's head. The sides don't need to be equilateral. The left side of the face should extend longer vertically than the right, and the chin should always end on the point of the pentagon.

Draw one horizontal line and vertical line in the middle of the face, intersecting in the middle to form a cross.

Place two oblong circles on either side of the vertical line. These will be the eyes. Inside these circles, place one more set of circles (one per eye).

Create a light glare with the negative space in the upper corner of each eye by simply leaving it blank.

Draw an incomplete iris in the center of each eye, leaving room on the inside for the light glare.

Fill in the iris with dark color (black). Just below this, shade the rest of the eye a light gray.

Frame the eyes with sideways "[" shapes on top and bottom, intersecting the eyeballs at the top. This will provide natural shading to your Ichigo character's entire eye line.

Draw a checkmark shape over each eye. Each checkmark should be the width of the entire eye (if not a little wider) and should be thin on the inside and grow thicker toward the outside of the eye.

Add a simple straight line along the vertical face guideline for the nose. The end of the nose should end in a slight right hook to give the illusion of a nose without much detail.

Create a mouth one-quarter of the way up from the chin by simply making a horizontal slash in the midpoint of the face. To express a smile, add gentle hooks to the corners of this line.

Give Ichigo hair by drawing spiky triangles all over his head. These should extend from his eyes to the back of his head with no interruption or part. If you are going to use color, you should shade bright orange in this section.

Tips & Warnings
If you want to draw other Bleach characters, keep in mind that the common thread among almost all this series' characters is a long face with a pointed chin. Bleach characters also have very large circular eyes with dark irises and large light glare spots in the inside upper corner. The hair is drawn as a single unit, with no separation between bangs and crown.
