Buy, Build or Create Eragon Toys
-
1
Use building blocks or Legos to build a replica of the land of Alagaesia. You can also rebuild a favorite scene from the movie using these toys. Purchase smaller items such as swords from stores specializing in miniatures for doll houses.
-
2
Purchase a box of childrens' playing cards and a pack of stickers from the Eragon book and movie. Secure the stickers on the back of the cards for Eragon-themed playing cards.
-

3
Purchase gently used toys online or in a consignment shop. You may be able to get Eragon toys at a reduced rate, and in many cases the condition of the toys may be almost new. Search Internet auction sites for new and used toys at economical prices.
-
4
Dress up as characters in the book using items at home to make the costumes. Make a sword out of cardboard and aluminum foil. Get medieval-themed costumes at a costume shop, or make your own using old shirts. Dress your pet up in a dragon costume so she can get in on the fun too.
-
5
Check with your local bookstore for toys relating to the Eragon books. When a new fantasy book is released, publishers will often take advantage of the opportunity to have toys manufactured to be released alongside the book. These toys can sometimes come at a cheaper price when you purchase the book and toy together, so call ahead to stores to check for deals.

Tips & Warnings
When your child outgrows the toys, bring them to your local charitable store or sell them inexpensively online to give others the chance of owning their own Eragon toys. In addition, at holiday time, stores are always looking for toys to give away to underprivileged children. Consider donating an extra toy or two this holiday season.
When bidding for toys on an online auction, be sure you understand the condition of the toy before submitting your bid. Reputable sellers will post pictures and describe any flaws.
Purchase shipping insurance if possible in case the toy is damaged in transit.
