Share the fun. Join an Eragon fan site such as Surtugal.com and talk to other fans who play Eragon on the Nintendo DS (see Resources below). Trade secrets, shortcuts and tips with other players in the forum. Locate other players in your area and invite them over to play the game with you.

Play as the character Eragon through the five large areas of play. In order to proceed through the game you must solve puzzles, kill enemies and complete mini games that are unlocked along the way. There is a touch screen capability that allows you to move your player, unlock magic spells, or even attack your enemies.

Learn to ride Eragon's dragon Saphira. There will be sections of the game where you will have to fly, and will require Eragon to seek his dragon Saphira. These sections are shorter than other parts of the game, but if Saphira flies true and you have collected enough rings in the main level, the flight will unlock mini games.

Use the "R" button and press the "D" pad in any direction you choose to avoid getting hurt. This function allows Eragon to easily avoid of all the enemy's attacks while you set up a counter attack. Besides tricking regular enemies, this dodging method will also work well against the bosses which stand in the way as you try to complete of each level.

Use magic in cases where the sword and bow are useless. There are sections of the game that require magic, so in order to use spells, the touch screen is utilized again. Decide on the magic spell you want to use and then draw the symbol on the touch screen. Doing this properly will result in the spell being cast and your enemy destroyed.
