Select Files in CrypKey Instant
Step1
Launch CrypKey Instant and click on the Select Files tab.
Step2
Enter the name and path of the program file to protect in the File to Protect field.

Create a name and path for the CrypKey Instant output file and enter it in the File to Write field. This output file will be your protected program.
Step4
Append runtime DLLs (Dynamic-Link Libraries) by selecting the checkbox. Check the Include NT Drivers box if your program supports NT.

Enable the Stealth option to create stronger copy protection. You may need to disable this option if the protected program won't run.
Create Keys in CrypKey Instant
Step1
Select the CrypKey tab and enter the name of the license file, without the path, in the Filename field.
Step2
Enter the Master Key and User Key generated by CrypKey. It will be matched to the license Filename.
Step3
Designate an amount of time by which unused floating licenses are released back to the network. This will vary depending on your client's needs.
Step4
Check the Pass Option box if you wish to use CrypKey to control the options or levels of the product. For example, a customer may wish to have secure information inaccessible to certain users. You can control the level of access using this feature.
Step5
Limit the amount of time your program will run while on trial licenses by enabling the License Meter Minutes feature.
Create License and Program Text in CrypKey Instant
Step1
Use the Message tab to navigate to the license information screen. Selecting the Use Default Message option will display the default licensing text in the message box. You can choose to use this message or modify it by typing in your own message. This screen will also support your own created text file or a bitmap file.
Step2
Go to Interface -> Program Title and type in a brief title for this version of the program. Here you may also choose the various interface options that appear when your client installs the program. Among the options are: requiring the user to read the license agreement before activation and disabling the license interface and license transfer screens.
Step3
Choose Configuration -> Save Configuration from the Menu and save the file. Select your preferred Ready-to-Try (RTT) license on the Security Type tab and save the file again.
Step4
Click "Begin Protection" to create the protected program.
Step5
Copy any necessary runtime DLLs to the application folder and test the program.
Use the Site Key Generator in CrypKey Instant
Step1
Configure your application in the Site Key Generator in order to authorize the use of the application. While the application will run for a specified amount of time on a trial license, when the trial is up it must be authorized for continued use.
Step2
Click the Display Site Code button and enter the code into the site code field of the Site Key Generator. Click the "Check" button.
Step3
Create a Site Key by using the Generate button. This key then needs to be pasted into the corresponding box of the program's license screen.
Step4
Use the Validate button to authorize the application.
