Learn a reverse 2 1/2 from a 1 meter springboard

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Pick an object that you will be able to see as you are flipping through the air. This is your reference point use it to be able to know when to kick out. Its is important that you are sure you will be able to see it.

  2. Step 2

Warm up by doing a reverse double first. As you kick out of the dive look for the item, if you are not a fair distance above the water do not attempt the 2 1/2.

  3. Step 3

After you leave the board immediately go in to your tuck. hold on to it until you spot your reference point. Kick out with your legs first, as soon as your legs are out drag you arms up your body and extend them over your head. follow your hands with your head keeping your eyes on your fingers.

  4. Step 4

If you have trouble the first few times have your coach help by having him call you out of it. This is very helpful because he knows where you are in the rotation and when you should come out. This also helps you to get a feel for when you are far enough around.
