Whether it’s nerves or the fact that their pregnant wives are stocking up on extra groceries, many men put on weight when their wives are expecting. If you want to avoid those extra pounds, here are some steps to follow.
Weigh yourself at the beginning of your wife’s pregnancy and resolve to remain the same weight throughout the pregnancy if that is your goal.

If you are tempted to snack as often as your pregnant wife, make sure to have low-fat, low-calorie snacks readily available. Try light popcorn, multi-grain pita chips and fruits and vegetables.

Exercise regularly. Start a new routine, or if you already follow a routine, add a few extra minutes.

Begin taking walks with your wife to burn extra calories and to spend quality time together.
