Mock Jury Trials
Mock Jury Trials

If you're into watching those law, crime and courtroom TV programs, use your interests to make money online by reaching verdicts as an online mock juror.

Getting started is easy...

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet Access
  • Memberships with online jury duty web sites
  1. Step 1

Understand how it works. In a nutshell, attorneys present highlights of their case to a set of mock jurors, who deliberate until they reach a mock verdict. Mock jurors provide insight by offering valuable evaluation and feedback. Attorneys often use this preliminary information when deciding whether or not to accept a case and/or are looking to research a case before heading into a real a courtroom.

Working from home and online as an e-juror can earn you anywhere from $10 to $100+ per case, depending on the length of the case and trial.

  2. Step 2
    Review Online Jury Sites
    Review Online Jury Sites

Go to the "RESOURCES" section below and browse through the list of web sites that will pay you to be an online juror.

  3. Step 3

Review each site's requirements to make sure that you meet the necessary criteria to qualify. Most sites have some basic requirements, much like a "real" juror, such as:

You cannot be a lawyer or an insurance company representative.
Must be at least 18 years old.
You must be a United States citizen.
    No felony convictions.

  4. Step 4

Complete and submit membership applications to all sites that you qualify for. This will increase your chances of being selected for online jury duty, as some sites will be more active than others.

  5. Step 5

If and/or when you are selected for online jury duty, read and carefully review all instructions, guidelines and requirements provided. By doing a good job, you'll increase your chances of being invited and selected to serve again.
