How to Make Your Relationship Last

Making your relationship last requires doing little things that show how much you appreciate him or her.
Showing attention and appreciation go a long way in maintaining the relationship.
The process should continue throughout courtship and marriage.

1. As in any relationship, there is a give and take. Only you can decide how much to give and how much to take.
   Within the framework of a burgeoning romance, it is important to remember that the little things take on more meaning then you may realize.
   Giving your date flowers or a nice card has a lasting impact.

2. Another way to show how much you are smitten is to have flowers delivered to her workplace. Nothing is more rewarding than to visualize your girlfriend receiving flowers next to her envious co-workers.
   If you are a woman, then the thing to do is pay special attention to what his likes are. Does he like sports? Does he have a favorite team? If so, you can purchase a hat or some other memorabilia. He will appreciate it immensely. That doesn't necessarily mean that you have to watch the ball game with him, but it does show that you care.

3. The reciprocal holds true. The man needs to know her likes and dislikes so he can cater to them. If she doesn't like flowers (a rarity), then dependent upon the level of your relationship, you can send her Pajamas.
   Let me explain. There is a company that sends people pajamas to workplaces in lieu of flowers. It is a great present and the woman should be able to handle the attention she will receive when the delivery man comes.

4. All of the things listed here (and there are a great deal more) should be done throughout the dating process and even within the framework of marriage.
   Even if you have been married for one year or fifty years, by showing appreciation and attention, the results are the same; A healthy relationship built layer upon layer of benevolence and respect for one another.
