Futons can be a great addition to your home, but sometimes they can slip off of the frame or shift over the mattress. And these become places to avoid rather than enjoy.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Gripper pad
  1. Step 1

Measure the thickness of your futon mattress, because there are about a dozen different types of futon mattresses out there you want to make sure you know how thick your mattress is.

  2. Step 2

Go to a place that specializes or sells a wide variety of futons and ask them about their covers, most covers are made to fit the mattress snugly and you shouldn't have the mattress slipping inside.

  3. Step 3

If you still have problems just get what they call a "futon gripper pad" and it will go in between the mattress and the frame. this keeps the futon mattress from sliding on the frame and will in turn keep your futon mattress from slipping inside the cover. I'd say 90% of the time the gripper pad will fix the problem.

Tips & Warnings
  • I would go the "gripper" route first, they normally cost about 9 dollars where new futon covers can start at 50 and go up to about 200 dollars.
