How to Create a Fun Open House

Typically speaking, most Open House evenings consist of inviting parents to the classroom and having them look at their children's work. However, you should consider that Open House is one of the only nights of the year when you have all of the parents in your class on campus--so you might as well try to take advantage of the opportunity and do something special with the evening. Here are some suggestions for creating a fun and different Open House experience.

Instructions
  1. Step 1
     

    Make the classroom look like an Italian restaurant by purchasing some red and white table cloths.

  2. Step 2
     

    Buy some food for the kids to serve to their parents.

  3. Step 3
     

    Create a menu for the parents to order from.

  4. Step 4
     

    Have the kids take their parents' orders.

  5. Step 5
     

    Have the kids wait on their parents by bringing them their dinner and their portfolio of work.

  6. Step 6
     

    Take lots of pictures; this is one cute evening.
