Everyone loves the convenience of a garbage disposal, but no one likes the awful smell that can come from continued use over time. Here are some tips for ensuring that when you aren't using your garbage disposal, you won't know that it's there.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
First, grab an empty ice cube tray.
Step2
Fill the tray with distilled vinegar.
Step3
Place the tray in the freezer until frozen solid.
Step4
Remove "vingar cubes" from tray. Place into garbage disposal.
Step5
Turn on the garbage disposal. The "vinegar cubes" will break up in the blades and clean those hard to get places as well as eliminating foul odors permeating from your kitchen sink.

Tips & Warnings

  • Repeat this process in once every month, or more frequently if needed.
  • Never place any of your body or clothing near a garbage disposal while turned on. This may cause serious injury, as if you didn't already know.
  • Also, keep other objects away from disposal while turned on. They may fall in and be flung at you.
