Hey All,
Firs thing first is measure, (measure twice cut on) you need to know ow much fabric you will need.
1: Place your valance track in the correct position.
-
2
2: Measure the front and sides of the track.
3: Divide the measurement by the width of the fabric to be used for your valance. Round up to the nearest whole number.

4: Once you have your finished amount, you then add three inches for hem allowances. If a patter fabric is used extra room will be needed for cut lines, the above measurements, are for non pattern cut lines.
5: Multiply the cut length by the number of widths for the calculation of how much fabric is in fact needed.

From there:
Cut the Fabric, to the required size for making valance. Join widths together, create a french seam, be sure to leave full width in the center with equal parts on each side, and be sure the patter matches across all widths.

2: Fold over and create a double one inch hem on each side, edge and pin.
3: Along the bottom edge pin, turn up a double hem at the bottom edge and pin.
-
7
4: Mitre both corners and stitch all hems.
5: At the top turn down on inch and press(iron)
6: Free the cords on the right side at both ends of the tape.
-

7: Place the fabric on a flat surface wrong side up and place the heading tape along the top edge close to the fold.
8: Pin the heading tape in place leaving room 2 inches on each side for the cord tidy bag.
