on 11/19/2009 P.S. I'm not saying deodorant is bad, it is just VERY bad to freshly shaven skin. It can seep through the pores which are opened from irritation of shaving. You should wait at least a half hour (I advise an hour) before applying deodorant to a freshly shaven area

on 11/19/2009 BAD BAD BAD. Applying deodorant to freshly shaven skin is very bad. Most deodorants contain aluminum in them. Aluminum is NOT a healthy thing to your body. In fact it can cause aluminum poisoning (yes, there is such a thing.) If you are going to apply deodorant to freshly shaven skin, please, please use an aluminum-free deodorant.

on 5/19/2008 Well, it's almost right... The bumps form due a combination of the original irritation caused by the razor; add to that moist heat, and top it all off with the inherent friction caused by walking, standing, etc... Voila! Mild skin irritation. This is then further provoked by the sharp end of the shaven hairs being lifted just high enough to poke the already sensitive skin... And you've created your very own proverbial 'viscious cycle'. I have learned from countless women, who wear skimpy bikinis for long hours, on a daily basis, is that this method is most effective when you choose an aerosol spray anti-persperant, such as Arrid, Secret, or Degree. The aluminum-base active ingredient used in anti-persperants helps seal the raised openings around the folical, safely tucking the irritating hair stub inside. As a bonus a waxy film is left on top of the skin which help to prevent the mois

on 5/14/2008 Maybe it just doesn't work for every one! I can use any type of white stick deodorant, no certain brand, and I don't have any problem at all. Sorry:(

on 4/30/2008 I tried it. I went out and bought Dove Sensitive Skin Invisible Solid deodorant (http://www.amazon.com/Dove-Antiperspirant-Deodorant-Invisible-Unscented/dp/B000FKLCZ2). I shaved my bikini line, patted dry and applied the deodorant. Within 3 hours I had razor burn just as bad as always.
Is this tip not for bikini lines? Is the deodorant I bought not the right kind?
