Classroom blogs are a great way to stay in touch with the parents and community. The advantage of a blog vs. a daily email is that parents can access older messages easier in a blog than by trolling through old emails. Blogs are absolutely free of charge and are one of the easier things you will ever do on the internet.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • a computer with internet access
Step1
Go to blogging website.
Step2
Set up your account by registering and giving some basic information. One of the things I really like about the blog site listed below is that you can set up your web address for your blog to read "www.whateveryouwant.com"
Step3
Choose a title and web address for your blog.
Step4
Choose a look (template) for your blog. You usually have several to choose from.
Step5
To start blogging click on "new post".

Tips & Warnings

  • A blog implies that it will be updated frequently (at least once a week if not daily) so do not go too long without updating your blog or else people will stop checking it.
