Things You'll Need:
- hot cider, cocoa, or any other traditional holiday drink
- finger foods (provided mostly by the guests)
- holiday/cooking magazines and recipes
-
Step 1
Choose an accessible place to hold it, preferably someone's home that will already be decorated for fall to set the mood.
-
Step 2
Send out invitations to all the women in your family, including those that are close family friends that usually take part in the families holiday gatherings. Ask that everyone bring a new finger food or appetizer for everyone to snack on and make sure they R.S.V.P with what they will bring so you don't end up with 10 batches of fudge.
-
Step 3
As the hostess, you should be responsible to provide drinks and, if you would like, an appetizer or two of your own. Prepare these before the party and test the appetizers in advance.
-
Step 4
Tell everyone to bring magazines and recipes with holiday themes to the party.
-
Step 5
Have fun! Enjoy lounging, flipping through the magazines for decorating and food ideas, snacking and girl talk. Reminisce about holidays gone by and share the warmth.
