How to Put on a Duvet Cover by Yourself

Putting on a duvet cover can be quite the task. Obviously, it would be much easier with two pairs of hands. But how do you do it when you can't get help? With the correct techniques, putting on a duvet cover may not be as difficult as you think.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Duvet
• Duvet cover

1. Lay out the duvet flat on the bed.

2. Lay the duvet cover right on top of the duvet. Now you know how the duvet should be positioned in the cover.

3. Take the top corner of the duvet and put it into the corner of the cover that it is supposed to go into (should match where it was placed right under the cover when it was laying flat).

4. Hold onto the outside duvet corner with the duvet corner properly inserted. Hold it under your arm so you have both hands free to insert the other top corner.

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have all four duvet corners into their respective cover corners.

6. Now hold the two top corners shake it out a couple times so the duvet itself is in the cover evenly. Make sure not to shake too many time so that the bottom corners move out of position.

7. Now repeat step 6 with the bottom corners.

8. You can also hold two corners on the side and shake out. Switch it up to make it even, but don't shake too much on one side or else it will be lopsided.
