So you have a baby and you have no idea on how to change its diaper. Don't freak out, buster. I'm going to help you get through this ordeal.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Sniff around. Smell that? It's a dirty diaper and it's your job to change it. You don't need a fancy changing table. Just make sure that before you start this process, you have a new diaper and pre-moistened baby wipes.

  2. Step 2

Now just lay the baby on his back. Take off as many of the baby's clothes that you need to and if possible, make sure this is all taking place underneath a towel you don't mind getting dirty.

  3. Step 3

As you gently rip the Velcro tabs off the side of the diaper, make sure that the baby isn't squirming all over the place. A palm gently placed over the baby's chest usually does the trick.

  4. Step 4

Now that the diaper is open, confirm whether or not it's a "pee" diaper or a "messy" one.

  5. Step 5

At this point, you'll want to grab the baby gently by the ankles, lift a bit and start using your baby wipes.

  6. Step 6

Once the baby is fully clean, switch the old diaper for the new one and set the baby's bottom down.

  7. Step 7

Fasten the Velcro tabs on the diaper and make sure you have a little wiggle room--about two fingers should do it. You don't want to affix the diaper too tight.

Tips & Warnings
  • No baby powder. It's bad for their skin.
