Explain the game to her. Many people aren’t a fan of the NFL because they don’t understand football in general. Answer any questions about football that your wife may have and be patient with her as she is learning the game.

Let her pick her favorite NFL team on her own. It would be fantastic if your wife cheered for the same NFL team that you did. You shouldn’t force it on her. If she picks a different NFL team as her favorite don’t be upset with her. Have fun with it, especially when your two favorite teams face each other.

Buy her NFL apparel. Team shops sell many different shirts, sweatshirts and even jerseys that are specifically made for women. This will keep your wife from having to wear one of your NFL jerseys that are way too big for her.

Step 4
Host an NFL party at your house. Invite your friends over and serve plenty of food and drinks. Watch the game with your friends and your wife and have her involved throughout the entire event.

Take her out to watch football with you. Watching an NFL contest with a large group of fans at a local establishment is a lot of fun. When you’re out at a bar watching football you can yell and cheer for your favorite team as if you were at the stadium. Once your wife gets into the game and the environment that the NFL creates she will realize why you are such a big fan.

Take her to an NFL game. There really is nothing like attending an NFL game live and in person. Attending an NFL game will help your wife appreciate the athleticism that is necessary to play professional football. She’ll have fun soaking in the atmosphere at the stadium as well.
