Steps to keeping your lawnmower healthy during the winter season

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Lawnmower
  • WD-40
  • Fuel Stabilizer
  1. Step 1

Your lawn mower should be stored with half a tank of gas or less. If you have more than a 1/2 tank, do a final mow on your lawn to reduce the gas content in the tank.

  2. Step 2

Unplug the spark plug. Clean all of the grass clippings from the blades and undercarriage so they won’t mold or rust.

  3. Step 3

Spray all the moving parts with WD-40 or some product similar to WD-40. For extra protection, add a fuel stabilizer to the gas tank for storage. In the spring, your lawnmower will be clean and ready to use!

Tips & Warnings
  • Store Lawnmower in a clean, dry place.
  • You can cover it to keep it dustfree as well.
