How to Save the World

What with the Earth heating up and impending nuclear war, isn't it high time we evolve already? Enough of the scandals, controversies, and lying politicians. No more propaganda on every television station. Let's have a global civilization without manipulation.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • Free Will
Step1
Live in the Now. If you don't know what I mean by this, perhaps use that as a starting point for step 2.
Step2
Do some research! Anything that gets you fired up is great, but heartfelt self-education is most important. Here's a few ideas if you have trouble; eugenics, evolution of consciousness, ecovillage, war, peace, patriarchal society, etc.
Step3
Dig deep! Don't stop with one or two clicks of the mouse, keep searching. Look at books that catch your eye when out of the house, buy 'em if you're willing and able. Keep an eye open to all information you can gather wherever you are. Social situations and interactions are chock full of lessons in body language, perhaps start a conversation with a stranger on the afternoon train.
Step4
Examine opportunity to engage in positive thought and action. The saying what goes around comes around applies heavily here, but be aware that dangerous paths do exist, so examine thoroughly!
Step5
Take care of YOU. No excuses, you are the only person in control of your life. If you are reading this now, you are more than likely not in a situation that prevents you from being good to yourself. My suggestion: drink lots of water, eat raw fruits and veggies (cooking destroys vital nutrients), and start every day with something positive, even if you feel crappy.
Step6
Spread the word! It will take a massive effort to assist those lost or confused, and those that feel the way can make great strides in changing their perspective.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you feel it's for you, try meditation or yoga. There are various classes available in most areas that focus on energy and breathing.
  • Be a smart consumer. Don't put your money into things you don't support. I stopped eating at McDonald's. Maybe you'll start thrift shopping?
  • A positive perspective is of utmost importance to the survival of humanity, so smile as often as possible!
  • While this may be awfully difficult for some, those that are familiar with these practices will know that it is, in fact, simple and rewarding.
  • Don't get frustrated if someone is unwilling to listen. Not everyone is ready to engage in change.
  • Be aware that there may be factions opposed to peaceful global cooperation, but don't be afraid. Unconditional Love is an awesome force.
  • Take it easy! Don't force yourself to do things that make you uncomfortable. This is about realizing your own nature, so stick with your gut in tough situations.

on 12/31/2007 I liked the idea of focusing within. I am of the belief that things will circle round with the more you give.
