How to Build a Drip Irrigation System

A drip irrigation system can be made very easily. This How-To is How to Build a cheap drip irrigation system.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• 1/2 inch PVC pipe
• PVC pipe glue
• threaded PVC fitting
• PVC cap
• Drill/electric screw driver
• 1/8 inch drill bit
• water hose

1. The first thing you need is a length of 1/2 inch PVC pipe. glue the PVC cap onto one end of the pipe and let dry. These can be bought at any hardware store.

2. On the other end glue on the threaded fitting. You will want a female fitting so you can screw the male end of your water hose into it.

3. take the drill and drill bit and drill small holes into your pipe. One hole about every 10 - 12 inches should work well.

4. You have your cheap, home made drip irrigation system. All you have to do is screw in your water hose and turn it on.

5. You can make one for each of your flower beds and bury it underground, or just use one and move it to where ever you need it.
