Things You'll Need:
- open mind
- open heart
-
Step 1
Ask everybody to come sit together at a table or join together in a circle.
-
Step 2
Talk with everybody amongst the group and ask what they would like to pray for. Keep a notebook handy to write down any thoughts or requests.
-
Step 3
Join hands if you would like and bow your heads in prayer. Recite some of the previous thoughts and requests that were talked about amongst the group. Since there are different religions that may be present, there is no need to mention a higher power.
-
Step 4
Pray that everybody keeps safe, and that they are watched over with loving care. Pray for good health, and pray that everybody has an open heart.
-
Step 5
End your prayer with an Amen, and if you would like, end the session with a special song, or give everybody a few minutes to have a silent prayer of their own.

on 3/20/2008 Plus, Jesus wouldn't give an article a 1 star rating simply because he disagrees with it. Again...good article!

Sorry...but I think even Jesus would have to disagree with that statement. Good article!

on 3/17/2008 Prayer can unite people, but not if everyone is praying to their own "special" god. What you are advocating is a religion of convenience. How can it be real if you get to make up your own rules?
