Wake up extra early and serve your partner breakfast in bed. Add flowers for a romantic finishing touch. Use your best dishes and crystal glasses.
Step2
Have a candle light picnic dinner on your living room floor. Food should be plated on beautiful dishes, not served out of boxes if you've ordered in. Add flowers and music for the perfect touch.
Step3
Make a CD of "your songs" or songs that mean just what you feel about the person. Put that CD in their car when they are not looking and leave a note taped to their stereo that reads, "play xoxox"
Step4
Write a poem from the heart. Yes, anyone can write a poem. Even bad poems are good if you say what's in your heart. Women especially love this.
Step5
Book a couples massage at your local spa (or make a spa weekend at a resort). If this is too expensive, buy some oils and do the massage yourself! Be sure to use soft music and low lighting.
Step6
Drive them to a surprise destination. The Beach at night is perfect. Pack sweatshirts, a blanket, a bottle of wine or champagne and glasses. Kick off your shoes and relax.
Step7
Go fishing! Yes, take that special person to a quiet place to go fishing, just the two of you. Bring wine and snacks (or their favorite beer or soda)
Step8
Go for a bike ride. Find trails online and pack a lunch for two. Be sure to bring plenty of water and band-aids just incase!
Step9
For Christmas time, bring out the air-mattress and sleep under the Christmas tree. Now who wouldn't love that?

I always love to walk alongside a lake shore or beach! This not only is so romantic but it allows you to talk, which of course is what communication is all about! Talk about what you love about the other and what you are thankful for.
