Pickle is a running bases/throwing a ball/dodge ball type of game that children ages 8+ enjoy. It's all about getting yourself 'inot a pickle' or jam and trying to get out of it!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • two bases
  • one dodge ball
  • 4 or more children

Step1
Take two bases and place them about 50-100 feet apart, depending on the age of the children. The higher the age the longer apart the bases should be.
Step2
Pick two end players. They should stand behind the bases, not on or in front of the bases. They pass the ball back and forth.
Step3
The rest of the children are runners. They will run back and forth from the two bases. Start the runners in the middle of the two bases.
Step4
When a runner is running, one of the ends trys to hit them with the ball. If they suceed three times the runner becomes the end who hit him the last time.
Step5
The ends can throw the ball any way they want. They can throw it high in the air or roll it to the other end. Anything to get ther runners to run.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use a dodge ball that is not hard and do not allow any throwing towards someone’s face. You don’t want any injuries.
